I, the Executioner (2024) IndoSUB BLURAY

I, the Executioner (2024) IndoSUB

SINOPSIS

Detective Seo Do-cheol's Violent Crimes Investigation Unit raids an illegal gambling den. Soon after, a viral video surfaces showing a masked killer executing a disgraced art professor who raped a female student, leading to her suicide. The police realize this is part of a disturbing pattern. Each victim was a perpetrator in a past crime, killed in the same way their victim had suffered. As similar killings emerge, the police suspect a serial killer is targeting those who escaped justice.

A popular YouTuber named "Editor Justice" covers the murders, dubbing the killer "Haechi" and framing them as a vigilante exposing flaws in the legal system. Public support for Haechi grows after more videos go viral, including a warning that ex-convict Jeon Seok-woo, who killed a pregnant woman in a drunk driving incident, is the next target. Despite public outrage, Seo's team is ordered to protect Jeon. They succeed in moving him to a safe house, where rookie officer Park Sun-woo stands out for his strength, politeness, and suspicious behavior.

Rookie detective Park Sun Woo and Seo Do-Cheol, a veteran of the Violent Crimes Investigation Division team, chase after a serial killer who shakes up their world.

Tensions rise as Sun-woo grows increasingly involved with the team. He meticulously secures the safe house, but Jeon escapes and is later found dead. Meanwhile, a staged confrontation on live stream at Namsan goes wrong when Sun-woo brutally assaults a man he wrongly believes to be Haechi. The man turns out to be an actor hired by Editor Justice for content. As the real investigation continues, suspicion begins to fall on Sun-woo, especially after more signs point to someone with martial arts skills and knowledge of police operations.

Another suspect, Min Kang-hoon, a traumatized former soldier, emerges after killing a biker gang with his car. After a violent chase and rooftop fight, Kang-hoon is nearly killed by Sun-woo using an extreme jiu-jitsu hold, but the police intervene just in time. Though Kang-hoon is arrested, forensic evidence suggests Jeon was killed by someone using leg-based choking techniques. Seo recalls a video of Sun-woo using that same move. He begins to suspect that Haechi has been in his team all along.

Hijack 1971 (2024) IndoSUB WEBDL

Hijack 1971 (2024) IndoSUB

SINOPSIS

Pilot Gyu-Sik and copilot Tae-in of the Sokcho Airport passenger plane fly to Gimpo, Seoul, during the winter of 1971. Following the flight attendants' takeoff instructions, an improvised explosive device goes off, frightening and perplexing everyone on board. Gyu-Sik loses one eye due to the explosion, and Tae-In finds himself in a precarious situation in an increasingly chaotic setting.

The mastermind behind the hijacking scheme, Yong-dae, seizes control of the cockpit and makes threats to fly the aircraft to North Korea. What comes next is an incredible story of bravery and selflessness, along with an in-depth analysis of the hijacker and crew.

Extra Reviews

This has the drawback of being based on a true story.

Thus, everything about the characters' pasts—pain, anxiety, regret, and choices—was so real and painful.

Not only was Yondae a hijacker, but he was also abused as a child by insane people who called anyone a communist.

Was Taein's decision to let them cross the border, which he experienced during the previous hijacking, the right one? Or would he make a different decision?

My heart broke for him and, as a fan, I could relate to his past, but his actions, of course, didn't make it any easier, so that's the whole emotional conflict, everything was just so terrible, and the acting honestly, they couldn't have picked better performers.

Like a chain reaction, "what if"

Taein's decision to allow the first plane to pass, which left 11 individuals missing to this day, can only indicate that they were either killed, imprisoned, or, worse, given the communist label.

Thus, he made the decision this time to ensure that everyone is secure and that, in the event that he passed away, at least they would know and not have to live in fear.

He practically flung himself on a bomb to save people, which is a terrible decision.

Coz in Yondae's life, his mother passed away, his brother abandoned him, the children in his community were subjected to boiling water, and he was falsely accused. Doesn't it make sense that he ended up so dysfunctional when "normal" people were so quick to label others? Who has the blame?

And beyond that initial hijack, we'll never be able to find out the whole story—did they actually offer the first hijacker money, or did they decide to stay behind because they were fed up with their government?

Did they demand payment in exchange for freeing the hostages? Did they employ technologies from the plane? Did SK decline to reimburse the government employees for the money they failed to return?

However, all of those things motivated Taein to keep their identities secret, protect them, and restore their bodies, or to return them safe.

Who is to blame, if he was a hero and Yondae was a victim? Those were very dreadful days for Korea, but at least things did change.

This terrible deed, I suppose, also discouraged others from trying.

Tunnel (2016) BluRay

A man is on his way home when the poorly constructed tunnel he is driving through collapses, leaving him trapped.

Tunnel (also referred as The Tunnel; Korean: 터널 Teoneol) is a 2016 South Korean survival drama film written and directed by Kim Seong-hun, starring Ha Jung-woo in the lead role.[3][4] The film revolves around a car salesman who gets trapped when a poorly constructed tunnel collapses, and deals with his survival inside the tunnel with the advice of the rescue team head. It was released in South Korea on 10 August 2016.

SYNOPSIS TUNNEL

Lee Jung-soo (Ha Jung-woo) is driving home for his daughter's birthday. While driving through a tunnel through a mountain, the tunnel collapses. When Lee Jung-Soo regains consciousness, he finds himself trapped inside his car, which is buried under tons of concrete and debris. All he has inside the car are his cellphone, two bottles of water, and his daughter's birthday cake.

South Korea is horrified by the news of the collapse of a large tunnel. The government urgently sets up an accident task force. Daekyung (Oh Dal-su), the rescue captain of the accident task force, makes various attempts to enter the tunnel, but the structure is only slow. Meanwhile, Jeong-su's wife Se-hyun (Bae Doo-na) delivers hope to her husband through the radio, which Jung-su can only hear, and does not give up hope for his safe life. The sluggish rescue operation will eventually cause a major setback in the completion of the second tunnel nearby, and public opinion begins to divide over the survival and structure of the essence.

CAST

  • Ha Jung-woo as Lee Jung-soo
One of the survivors of the ‘Hado’ Tunnel collapse. He works as a dealer for Kia Motors and has a wife and a daughter who goes to kindergarten. He distributes water that is not enough to eat alone to other survivors, and shares little food with dog.[10]

  • Bae Doona as Se-hyun

Except for Jeong-su's family, this person and the work leader are the only ones who really believed in Jeong-su's survival and tried to rescue him until the end. He did not provide any direct help to Jeong-su, but he also gave him the advice he needed to survive in the early stages.

Professor Kim, a marine geologist, recognizes the impending danger of a mega tsunami headed straight for Haeundae, a popular vacation spot on the south coast of Korea. He desperately attempts to warn authorities and alert the unknowing vacationers of the 500 MPH destructive force of nature headed their direction.

Tidal Wave (Korean: 해운대; RR: Haeundae) is a 2009 South Korean disaster film directed by Yoon Je-kyoon and starring Sol Kyung-gu, Ha Ji-won, Park Joong-hoon and Uhm Jung-hwa. Billed as South Korea's first disaster film,[1] the film released theatrically on 22 July 2009 and received more than 11 million admissions nationwide.

SYNOPSIS TIDAL WAVE

Located on the southeastern tip of the Korean Peninsula, the Haeundae district of Busan draws one million visitors to its beaches every year. The film follows the stories of many characters who all get caught up in a terrible tsunami in which they must make life-or-death decisions.

Five years ago, Man-sik, a Haeundae local, lost Yeon-hee's father due to his mistake in the 2004 Indian Ocean earthquake. Because of this, he could not become involved with Yeon-hee, who runs an unlicensed seafood restaurant, despite her attempts to start a relationship.

Dong-choon and Seung-hyun's grandma team up with Seung-hyun and get involved with some illegal activity to earn money, but end up getting caught by the police. Man-sik finally plans to propose to Yeon-hee.

Geologist Kim Hwi runs into his divorced wife, Yoo-jin. Although Yoo-jin has a daughter named Ji-min and a new boyfriend Hae-chan, they decide not to tell their daughter that Hwi is her real father as they are worried how she might react.

A wealthy college student from Seoul, Hee-mi, accidentally falls into the sea from a yacht. Hyeong-sik, Man-sik's younger brother, is a lifeguard who rescues Hee-mi. Hee-mi becomes angered by the 'violent' rescue and annoys him by following him around and the two begin to fall in love.

Hwi notices that the Sea of Japan (East Sea) is displaying similar activity to the Indian Ocean at the time of the 2004 Indian Ocean earthquake. The Disaster Prevention Agency assures him that South Korea is at no risk, but a large megatsunami forms because of a landslide near Japan and starts to travel towards Haeundae. Hwi realizes that the citizens of Haeundae have only 10 minutes to escape. There is a short earthquake (a little aftershock) at Haeundae. The sea starts receding from the shore, causing mass hysteria as people realize that a tsunami is coming. Thousands of people run for their lives, but the tsunami reaches Haeundae. Dong-choon, Seung-hyun, his grandma, and other people on the Gwangan Bridge are swept away by the sea. A telephone pole collapses, electrocuting everyone in the water, but Man-sik and Yeon-hee survive. Dong-choon awakens on the bridge, but when he tries and fails to light a cigarette, and subsequently discards the lighter out of frustration, it falls into petrol leaking from a tanker, causing an explosion that severs the bridge in half and sends shipping containers flying into buildings on the shore.

Hyeong-sik jumps down from a rescue helicopter and saves Hee-mi in the sea. When Hyeong-sik and the rest of the group are together on the rope, Hyeong-sik realizes that the rope is about to break and only one can go up to the helicopter. He cuts the rope he is connected to and falls into the violent sea. The elevator Yoo-jin is trapped in floods with water, and she talks in tears to her daughter Ji-min on her phone. Yoo-jin is saved by a worker. On the roof, she meets Ji-min and Hwi. The two help their daughter get on a crowded rescue helicopter. Before the helicopter leaves, Hwi tells his daughter that he is really her father. Yoo-jin and Hwi hug each other before they are killed by another megatsunami.

After the tsunami, there is a funeral for the thousands of people who were killed. Among the dead is Hyeong-sik and Man-sik's uncle. Dong-choon finds out that his mother died as well and breaks into tears. Many people help reconstruct the city. Man-sik, while cleaning the ruins of Yeon-hee's restaurant, finds the red ribbon which Yeon-hee said was a 'yes' to his proposal. The movie ends with a scene of Haeundae in ruins, but in a hopeful atmosphere.

Steel Rain 2: Summit (2020) HD

A summit of leaders of South Korea, North Korea, and the U.S. is meant to have them discuss North Korea’s nuclear issue and a peace settlement for the Korean peninsula, but instead, the leaders end up being abducted.

Steel Rain 2: Summit (Korean: 강철비2: 정상회담 RR: Gangcheolbi 2: Jeongsanghoedam) is a 2020 South Korean action thriller film[4] written and directed by Yang Woo-suk. It is a standalone sequel to the 2017 film Steel Rain. In the film, three leaders each from South Korea, North Korea and USA are kidnapped and held in a North Korean nuclear submarine during a summit between the two Koreas and the United States. It stars Jung Woo-sung as the South Korean president, Kwak Do-won as the North Korean Supreme Guard Command Chief, Yoo Yeon-seok as the North Korean Supreme leader and Angus Macfadyen as the United States president.

The film was theatrically released in South Korea on 29 July 2020

SYNOPSIS STEEL RAIN 2: SUMMIT

The film starts with a secret meeting between the director of the Chinese Ministry of State Security, Song Shikai and Shinzo Mori, the director of the Yamato Foundation, an influential Japanese ultranationalist organization with ties in the Japanese government.

Director Mori shows director Song the playbook of a ploy called Operation Kagemusha. The strategic goal of "Kagemusha" is to defeat China politically and militarily through a US-Japanese alliance and expel the Chinese from the Diaoyu Islands. However, Mori also shows director Song an altered version of Operation Kagemusha that involves Dokdo; the disputed isles between South Korea and Japan.

As Song asks why Mori is revealing this information to him, Mori gives Song a choice: China will either be crushed under the full might of the US-Japanese military according to the original Kagemusha playbook, or Song can avert war by using his position as the head of the MSS to prevent Beijing from interfering in Dokdo on behalf of North Korea and furthermore assist him and the Yamato Foundation's supporters inside the Japanese government to take Dokdo from the Koreans and wipe out the Republic of Korea military instead, as described in the "alternative" version of Kagemusha.

Mori summarizes it to Song: "Kagemusha on Senkaku (Diaoyu Islands) or Kagemusha on Takeshima (Dokdo)". South Korea is invited by the U.S. to join the Senkaku exercises as a member of the tripartite alliance but the South Korean President Han Kyeong-Jae refuses the invitation. In a briefing for Dokdo, Han learns about a month-old incident wherein a Coast Guard patrol vessel captain turned himself in to the National Security Office (NSO) and explained about his meeting with a Japanese-Korean woman who lured him into a debt as per which he was required to attack a Japanese ship sailing around the Dokdo, without any warning shots.

The woman, named Ito Hideko, works for the Yamato Foundation, a fund for right-wing Japanese extremists. The ministers fear the repetition of the 2006 Dokdo War. In Japan, Shinzo Mori riles up the public by showing Japanese citizens a revised version of history through his literary works. Mori lays down the outline for a plot as per which Japan will pretend to engage in a war with China as per America's wishes, but instead will use this opportunity to regain lost territories. Mori's interest goes out especially to Dokdo, as he believes that the expansion of Japanese reign through the region always began in Korea. By fighting a war with Korea, he hopes to "awaken the dormant Japanese spirit", and make Japan the powerful empire again it once was.

Han and his ministers learn that the U.S. State Department has indefinitely postponed its summit with the two Korean countries, citing issues with the procedure of nuclear weapon handover. Han asks for a video conference with the U.S. President Willis Chatman Smoot who refuses to do so unless South Korea participates in the Senkaku exercises. Han reluctantly agrees, and learns about Yamato Foundation's apparent funding by the Chinese government.
