I, the Executioner (2024) IndoSUB BLURAY

I, the Executioner (2024) IndoSUB

SINOPSIS

Detective Seo Do-cheol's Violent Crimes Investigation Unit raids an illegal gambling den. Soon after, a viral video surfaces showing a masked killer executing a disgraced art professor who raped a female student, leading to her suicide. The police realize this is part of a disturbing pattern. Each victim was a perpetrator in a past crime, killed in the same way their victim had suffered. As similar killings emerge, the police suspect a serial killer is targeting those who escaped justice.

A popular YouTuber named "Editor Justice" covers the murders, dubbing the killer "Haechi" and framing them as a vigilante exposing flaws in the legal system. Public support for Haechi grows after more videos go viral, including a warning that ex-convict Jeon Seok-woo, who killed a pregnant woman in a drunk driving incident, is the next target. Despite public outrage, Seo's team is ordered to protect Jeon. They succeed in moving him to a safe house, where rookie officer Park Sun-woo stands out for his strength, politeness, and suspicious behavior.

Rookie detective Park Sun Woo and Seo Do-Cheol, a veteran of the Violent Crimes Investigation Division team, chase after a serial killer who shakes up their world.

Tensions rise as Sun-woo grows increasingly involved with the team. He meticulously secures the safe house, but Jeon escapes and is later found dead. Meanwhile, a staged confrontation on live stream at Namsan goes wrong when Sun-woo brutally assaults a man he wrongly believes to be Haechi. The man turns out to be an actor hired by Editor Justice for content. As the real investigation continues, suspicion begins to fall on Sun-woo, especially after more signs point to someone with martial arts skills and knowledge of police operations.

Another suspect, Min Kang-hoon, a traumatized former soldier, emerges after killing a biker gang with his car. After a violent chase and rooftop fight, Kang-hoon is nearly killed by Sun-woo using an extreme jiu-jitsu hold, but the police intervene just in time. Though Kang-hoon is arrested, forensic evidence suggests Jeon was killed by someone using leg-based choking techniques. Seo recalls a video of Sun-woo using that same move. He begins to suspect that Haechi has been in his team all along.

Hijack 1971 (2024) IndoSUB WEBDL

Hijack 1971 (2024) IndoSUB

SINOPSIS

Pilot Gyu-Sik and copilot Tae-in of the Sokcho Airport passenger plane fly to Gimpo, Seoul, during the winter of 1971. Following the flight attendants' takeoff instructions, an improvised explosive device goes off, frightening and perplexing everyone on board. Gyu-Sik loses one eye due to the explosion, and Tae-In finds himself in a precarious situation in an increasingly chaotic setting.

The mastermind behind the hijacking scheme, Yong-dae, seizes control of the cockpit and makes threats to fly the aircraft to North Korea. What comes next is an incredible story of bravery and selflessness, along with an in-depth analysis of the hijacker and crew.

Extra Reviews

This has the drawback of being based on a true story.

Thus, everything about the characters' pasts—pain, anxiety, regret, and choices—was so real and painful.

Not only was Yondae a hijacker, but he was also abused as a child by insane people who called anyone a communist.

Was Taein's decision to let them cross the border, which he experienced during the previous hijacking, the right one? Or would he make a different decision?

My heart broke for him and, as a fan, I could relate to his past, but his actions, of course, didn't make it any easier, so that's the whole emotional conflict, everything was just so terrible, and the acting honestly, they couldn't have picked better performers.

Like a chain reaction, "what if"

Taein's decision to allow the first plane to pass, which left 11 individuals missing to this day, can only indicate that they were either killed, imprisoned, or, worse, given the communist label.

Thus, he made the decision this time to ensure that everyone is secure and that, in the event that he passed away, at least they would know and not have to live in fear.

He practically flung himself on a bomb to save people, which is a terrible decision.

Coz in Yondae's life, his mother passed away, his brother abandoned him, the children in his community were subjected to boiling water, and he was falsely accused. Doesn't it make sense that he ended up so dysfunctional when "normal" people were so quick to label others? Who has the blame?

And beyond that initial hijack, we'll never be able to find out the whole story—did they actually offer the first hijacker money, or did they decide to stay behind because they were fed up with their government?

Did they demand payment in exchange for freeing the hostages? Did they employ technologies from the plane? Did SK decline to reimburse the government employees for the money they failed to return?

However, all of those things motivated Taein to keep their identities secret, protect them, and restore their bodies, or to return them safe.

Who is to blame, if he was a hero and Yondae was a victim? Those were very dreadful days for Korea, but at least things did change.

This terrible deed, I suppose, also discouraged others from trying.
