SINOPSIS

A US Army Delta Force unit dispatched to rescue a CIA spy in the southern Philippines receives aerial backup from Captain Eddie "Reaper" Grimm, a US Air Force drone pilot, and Staff Sergeant Nia Branson. Sergeant JJ "Playboy" Kinney, a young Air Force TACP Airman serving as the Delta Force team's JTAC, appears to be the lone survivor of a combat against the Abu Sayyaf. He is led to an extraction spot and depends solely on the Reaper's remote air support.

When Kinney gets there, the Abu Sayyaf intercept him, causing Grimm's drone to run out of ammunition (AGM-114 Hellfire and BLU-118 munitions) and forcing the critically threatened evacuation chopper to take off. Kinney loses his rifle after falling over a hill while attempting to go to another extraction location, runs out of ammo for his handgun, and is apprehended. Master Sergeant John "Sugar" Sweet, one of his squad members, comes out to be alive and saves Kinney. He also informs Kinney that Sergeant Bishop was captured in a network of caves near the initial mission location, which is Abu Sayyaf's base.

Kinney uses Sweet's radio to reach Grimm, who arranges for three bombs to be dropped on the base, fifteen minutes apart, before Grimm and Branson are ordered by their superiors to take a leave of absence for working past their shift. Before being apprehended and brought to Sayyaf's prison, Kinney and Sweet raid one of their establishments.

Just before the first superficial bombing occurs, Sweet is put to death, and Kinney is taken to be tortured—the rebel leader does not take his warning about the impending attacks seriously. Due to his immersion in a water tub, Kinney survives the bombing while his captors perish in the flames. Before the battery runs out, Kinney kills the leader who is still alive with a blade, takes his satellite phone, and calls Nellis Air Force Base to ask Grimm to cancel the third bombing.
