SINOPSIS

Agent Gru of the Anti-Villain League (AVL) is present at a reunion held at Lycée Pas Bon, his former school. There, he meets up again with Maxime Le Mal, his opponent who still feels bad for Gru since he stole his performance from their school talent contest. When Maxime admits he has modified himself using cockroach parts to become superpowered and take over the world, Gru uses the AVL to apprehend him. Maxime's girlfriend Valentina assists him in getting out of the AVL prison. He displays a device that he intends to use especially on Gru Jr., Gru's young son, that transforms humans into hybrids with roaches.

After coming out of retirement, Silas Ramsbottom pays the Gru family a visit to let them know of Maxime's escape and to let them know that the AVL would be moving them to a house in a different town called Mayflower until Maxime is apprehended. Gru takes on a new identity as a solar panel salesman named Chet as part of a witness protection scheme. Lucy is assigned the name Blanche and is offered a job as a hairstylist. The AVL takes in the majority of the Minions. Under a program dubbed the Mega Minions, Silas chooses five of them to have their powers enhanced; however, the initiative is cancelled after the gang causes collateral damage in a metropolis.
