SINOPSIS

John Wick (Keanu Reeves) is in New York City, hiding underground with the Bowery King (Laurence Fishburne) as he gets ready to take revenge on the High Table. He goes to Morocco and murders "one who sits above the Table," George Georgiou, also known as the Elder. Elder claims that even if he were killed, John would never find peace in death and that murdering him would not alter his destiny. Marquis Vincent Bisset De Gramont (Bill Skarsgård), a member of the High Table, responds by calling the New York Continental hotel manager Winston (Ian McShane) and his concierge Charon (Lance Reddick). He tells Winston that the High Table has granted him unlimited resources to kill John and chastises him for not doing so in the past.

The Marquis gives Winston an hour to evacuate all of the guests before destroying the New York Continental and putting Charon to death. Winston also loses his managerial responsibilities and is labelled "Ex-Communicado" as punishment. Winston can bear that suffering for the rest of his life because he is certain that Charon was killed wrongfully in his place. The Marquis then recruits blind former High Table assassin Caine (Donnie Yen) to assassinate his old friend John, threatening to kill Caine's daughter if he doesn't comply.

At the Osaka Continental, owned by his buddy Shimazu Koji (Hiroyuki Sanada), John seeks safety. Akira, Koji's daughter, tells her mother not to give John any sanctuary since she is certain that the High Table would eventually arrive. However, Koji won't desert his friend in times of need. John is told by Koji that it was a mistake to murder the Elder because they had already demolished the New York Continental and could destroy Osaka as well. John should consider where this ends because Koji says there is no end to the table.

Supported by assassins from the High Table and Caine, the Marquis' second-in-command Chidi (Marko Zaror) shows up to look into the hotel. Just before the High Table "Deconsecrates," the hotel's concierge, Akira (Rina Sawayama), the daughter of Koji, leaves, sparking a brawl. Akira claims that John has no business being at the Osaka and that by breaking the rules, many people—including her—may perish.
